Daniel J. Baxter, Sr. is a fourth-degree Sir Knight who served as field agent for Knights of Columbus councils: 765, 1080, 1386, 1501, 1909, 2854, 6480, 7370 & 11884 in Southwestern Wisconsin.
Dan joined the Knights of Columbus field force in February, 2000. He was named “Agent of the Year” for 2000, 2001 & 2002 as well as “Agency Sales Leader" for 2003, 2004 & 2005 for the Dennis L. O’Connell Agency. The O’Connell Agency, which as of 9-1-06 became the Baxter Agency, encompasses ¼ of the state of Wisconsin’s membership.
Dan and his wife, Charity, have been married since August 12, 1995. They live just outside of Platteville, WI. Charity is Dan’s office manager. She has a degree in elementary education with special education inclusion and early childhood. Charity and Dan have three boys, Danny, Austin & John.
Business and Fraternal Qualifications:
Dan joined the Knights of Columbus in March, 1992. He is currently a member of Msgr. John DeRocher Council 1386, Platteville.
Dan graduated in 1990 from Holy Name Seminary – Madison, WI where he received his High School diploma. In 1997, he graduated with a BS Degree in Accounting with a minor in Business from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville.
Dan has earned the Fraternal Insurance Counselor (FIC), the Fraternal Insurance Counselor – Fellow (FICF) & the Chartered Senior Financial Planner (CSFP) designations.
Dan was exemplified into the Fourth Degree in October, 1992. He is a charter member of Msgr. Gray Assembly 2424, Platteville, WI.
Hobbies include: coaching youth sports, golfing, bicycling, hiking, fishing and boating with his family.
