Daniel E. Hull State Treasurer
Dan joined the Knights of Columbus as a member of Queen of Peace Council 4634 in 1979. That year he also became the Recording Secretary. He held this position for five years after which he was elected Grand Knight for a two-year term. Dan was District Deputy of District 24 for the next four years. In 1992 he took on the position of La Crosse Diocesan Program Director for eight years. In 1989, Dan joined the Fourth Degree becoming a member of St. Mother Seaton Assembly 1692 of Loyal. In the Fourth Degree, he was Faithful Navigator for five years and now holds the position of Captain. Dan is a member of the Fourth Degree team taking the part of Navigator. He also served as Area Coordinator of Area 14 for three years. In 2000, Dan was asked to be State Program Director. He held this position until elected as State Warden in 2002. In October 2003, he became State Advocate. Dan was again elected State Advocate at the 2004 Convention in Wisconsin Dells, as well as at the 2005 convention in Green Bay. In 2006 Dan was elected State Treasurer at the convention once again held in Wisconsin Dells. He is also currently serving as trustee to the local council and as a member of his council’s 1st and 2nd degree teams. Dan has been awarded Knight and Family of the Month awards, along with Diocesan Family of the Month for the La Crosse Diocese. The Hull’s also received the Family of the Year award from their council. Dan was elected as a delegate to the Supreme Convention in 1997 in Montreal, Quebec Canada. He and his wife have also attended Supreme Conventions in Anaheim, Washington D.C., Dallas, Chicago, and Orlando. In 2001, Dan was chosen as Medallion Award Winner from the La Crosse Diocese. In the community, Dan has been very involved in the Scouting Program. He was the Recycling Center Coordinator, a Cub Scout Committeeman and Boy Scout Leader. Both of his sons achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. During the time they were in scouts 15 boys reached the rank of Eagle. Dan has served on the June Dairy Days Committee. He and his family are members of St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Parish in Thorp. Dan is a member of the Holy Name Society and is an usher at mass. Dan and his wife Patty have been married for 30 years. Patty is a teacher’s aide for the Thorp Public School. They have four children Jessica (Matheau), Jason (Julie), Juliane (Jimmy), and Joshua. They are also kept busy by their Viszla puppy, Sydney. |
